Congrats to all of this year's nominees! I'm quite happy to see so many unique and surprise nominations on here. Bond's Skyfall has five, even Amour has five nominations. Beasts of the Southern Wild really took it home. While there are still plenty of snubs and always much to complain/argue about, like a screenplay nom for Looper or Kathryn Bigelow for Best Director, this is a good selection. 2012 was a solid year in film, and I was expecting an odd Oscars, but nonetheless I'm quite satisfied with these nominations - what else can I really say. Only 44 days until the big ceremony, it won't be too long to see. Thoughts on the 2013 noms?
