"We should make sequels to more of our movies." Now this is some clever marketing. As you may be aware, it's a dangerous day to be on the Internet due to April Fool's Day, but the filmmakers behind This is the End, the apocalyptic comedy starring Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson decided to use that to their advantage. Below you'll find what appears to be a trailer for a cash grab sequel to Pineapple Express, but really it's just a red band trailer for This is the End with the exaggerated versions of these actors getting baked and watching the stoner comedy. This is the End is written and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (who wrote Superbad together) and follows Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel attending a party at James Franco's house with a bunch of other celebrities when the end of the world begins out of nowhere. Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Jason Segel, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, Rihanna, Emma Watson and many more all have cameos in the film which is just one of two apocalyptic comedies arriving next year (the other is Edgar Wright's The World's End with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost). Sony Pictures will open This is the End starting June 14th.
